CD Projekt RED officially announced the coming of The Witcher: Rise of the Wolf to consoles. The original story is intact, but delivered via a brand new engine with dynamic action-based combat system. IGG has some Christmas Festivities in the works for Wonderland Online. Christmas Gift Boxes 1 is the first phase of holiday events and it passes the lesson of s/he who gives shall receive. Players that purchase a card worth at least 1000 points by December 10th will receive a Christmas Cap with 3,000 points on the December 16th maintenance run.

Ignition Entertainment has updated the website for their upcoming RPG and Nintendo DS exclusive, Blue Dragon Plus. On the site you can immerse yourself in the story of Blue Dragon Plus as traditional website sections interweave with cinematic story presentation, revealing a deeper look into the mystery behind the game.

Wow. Talk about a loss.. I hope he can write it off (tax benefits I am sure) because Sumner Redstone has sold his majority stake in Midway Games for $100,000. You may recall just a while back on November 21 the New York Stock Exchange threatened to delist Midway Games if their stock did not rise from under $1.00 per share within six months. As of last Friday, stock in the company was going for 38 cents a share.

On Sunday, December 14th, Jack Black will take viewers on a trip to gamer heaven as host of Spike TV’s 2008 “Video Game Awards.” Recognizing outstanding artistic and technical achievement in the gaming industry, plus premiering first-looks at the hottest games of 2009 and beyond, the 2008 “VGAs” debuts live and in high definition on Sunday, December 14 at 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST (tape delay on west coast).
