BattleAxe (v1) - File Description  


Description:
Based on operation Battleaxe, June 1944.

For the first time during the war a significant German force fight on the defense. The British goal was to advance trough the Halfaya Pass (later called Hell-Fire Pass) capture Sollum and Fort Capuzzo to eventually release Tobruk.

The British attack came to a halt and by just retreating at the right moment complete disaster was avoided.

Maybe you can do better than British General Archibald Wavell who was replaced by Churchill after this operation.

Preferred Setup:

Slot 1,2 and 3 British. Slot 4,5,6 Germans and if you play against AI put them on veteran (Erwin Rommel the Desertfox).

Posts: 13 		Tnx Magnus great to hear. I did put some effort in this map to balance it form the historical battle to the game. I saw to many dessert maps that didn’t make sense. U might like the how its built info witch I included in the file. Your comment inspires me to build a new map, if i find the time.

Posts: 166 		Great design but the AI doesn't like it - we played it from the Axis side and found tanks stuck in one of the Allied bases.
