Carentan_4P_Fight_For_A_City (v1.1) - File Description  


Description:
About the File
This is a remake of the Carentan map (plus some additions) from Call of Duty 2 for CoH. It features bridges, towns, and open areas, meaning there's something for everybody. Defensive players can dig in at the bridges, tank players can make a flanking attack, and infantry players can push through the town. Either way, it'll take a mix of strategies to win, or else you'll wind up getting outflanked.

Staff Impressions
Not a bad port, especially since it's actually a remake. In addition to the CoD map itself (located at the center, on the island), it features a number of other locations to do battle, including some orchards and islands to the north and south. While it's a bit lackluster graphically, that can certainly be fixed, and certainly doesn't detract from the map too much.

Summary
Not a bad job at all on something we haven't seen here before. Keep it up, and a V1.2 would certainly be welcome.

Instructions:

-Unzip all the files in "4p_OperationMarketGarden_v1a.zip" into "C:Program FilesTHQCompany of HeroesWWIIDataScenariosmp"

(if you don't already have a "mp" folder in your "...WWIIDataScenarios" folder, make one!)

-Create a shortcut to "Company of Heroes.exe" if you don't have one.

-Right-click on the "Company of Heroes.exe" shortcut and add " -dev" to the end of the target.

I worked 3 Days on this map.
It was my very first map I made.
