Description:
Alright, so we have a huge new mod for CoH or ToV (OF, I dunno). It adds a huge number of new upgrades and weapons, as well as rebalancing for existing weapons. There have also been some reskins, and a whole bunch of items couldn't be garrisoned before, like buses and trees, can now be garrisoned (finally, that perfect sniper post in the old oak overlooking the enemy base!) The effects have been made more vibrant, and the shot tracers have been recoloured for MGs, sniper rifles, and pistols.

But don't take my word for it, try it out!

Welcome to Company of Heroes, World at War:

This mod started as a minor weapons adjustment to make the guns behave like in COD, but evolved into much more.

V1.0:

it is fairly well polished, although the CW and PE are not as extensively tested.
it is 100% compatible with v2.501 and incorporates all factions
this mod adds a lot to the game and makes it feel a lot like Call of Duty World at War.


[B]To install:[/B]
extract files
put the CODWeapons folder and the CODWeapons.module into your Company of Heroes directory

[B]To make a shortcut[/B]:
right-click on RelicCOH.exe and hit create shortcut
right-click and go into properties
add -dev -mod CODWeapons to the end of the target field (outside the quotes)
done!

yeah i decided to make squads that act like the banzai men in COH...they camo all the time and can go anywhere, then u hit a button and they 'ambush' (uncamo and attack ppl)

its for PE in the research center

downloaded it, but the zipfile is a large pack of RGD files. No folder. And no mod file i believe. Maybe use an installer?

i like the idea did get to play it twice, crashed both times at the end after clicking contiune. everyone was carring a tripod for a MG both sides. but really like that you added the direct fire...

Pretty cool mod. Could use a higher pop limit. Crashes after a skirmish and you exit score screen. No glaring bugs, thanks. Keep up the great work. Oh, won't use sga maps, nomatter where you put them.

thanks for the feedback...i think the crashing and sga thing has to do with the .module file...ill play around with it.

i had a higher pop limit for a while but it became too much of a spamfest and not much micro so most of the new features dont really show through....ill try it again though.

well i cant get it to work for ToV it just asks me to put in my disc, it also has the op background so i dunno whats up. when i put my disc in and click to validate it says it cant

yeah i've heard one other person have issues w/ TOV...it seems like most dont have them, but i dont know why some people do...ill let u know if i figure it out

Good stuff right here but where did you come up with ex-german soldiers??? lol I think it should just be Americans and you should remove that bi-pod set up thing. it's really annoying. good job! ive only played one game though...

well...the issue was that the only model that looks remotely like a browning is the lmg42, and i couldnt find any animator files for it. the only model that can use that file is the Grenadier, so i had to use the grenadier model for the browning team....

i said ex-german because im a terrible skinner and the skin i made for the browning team is not all that convincing.

i like the setup thing...it makes the browning feel different than the mg42, its better but it has a set-up time...maybe i'll cut the set-up time in half though.

Banzai Squad??? Doesn't really do damage and they are one time use. Also the Panzer Elite sniper has trouble going into a tree or shrub or any terrain feature that you are allowed to enter. Also try to add some more to german for perks. Maybe give the inf a panzershek and try to add some new units. British needs some new units and seems americans can kill everyone with their self rehealing troops. Try to make last stand with the second chance perk?? It would be good if you be able to heal rifle men.

Separate Question: When are you going to make Specialized Production mod compatible with TOV??

-ok ill increase banzai damage...they're supposed to be 1-time use...suicide squad
-i just have to change the PE sniper type, not hard to fix that
-In COD all ppl have the same perks, and thats how i wanted to keep it...be sure to -look in the krampraft centre for a lot of german perks
-as i said, the PE and British are not too extensively edited...ill think about it
-all of the soldiers have health regeneration, axis, allies, PE, and British
-last stand w/ second chance is way too overpowered for 10 munitions, thats why only weapons teams get it
-as said, all the riflemen have health regeneration




i wasnt intending to update it, but i suppose i could...b4 i do though, try this
-open up the Specialized Production module
-open up the CODWeapons module
-copy the CODWeapons module into the Specialized production one (replace the spec-prod one basically)
-use ctrl-f to find and replace CODWeapons with SpecializedProductionMod
see if that works

i tried this mod cause it sounded good but when i got it working all i got was were words should be there was this: $700630. i meen it could be a great mod just please tell is it something i have done wrong or is it a fault in the downloading or the actuall mod itself confused

Calling it "rubbish" for one eventual mistake in the mod? I suggest you chose your comment title better in the future, these modders are dedicating their free time to providing you with content and you should be a little more grateful for that.

its your fault, not the mod

check in the folder CODWeaponsLocaleEnglish

there should be 2 files, RelicCOH.UCS and CODWeapons.UCS
if there isn't, copy and paste your RElicCOH.UCS into that folder

if there is, try temporarily moving the RelicCOH.UCS

see if that helps

for the crashes i think i found a solution

go into CODWeaponsDatauitexturestextures_fe
and delete all the .pdn files (leave the .rgt ones)

as for the americans winning...ill fix that...didnt have much time to balance test

sound...not sure what the issue is...it seems to be only for ppl w/ TOV, not coh 2.5, which is wierd.

try this: open up RelicCOH.module (with notepad) and see what the SpeechManagerCache line says...it should be the 6th or 7th line down

if that doesnt match the SpeechManagerCache in CODWeapons.module, change the CODWeapons.module to match the RelicCoH.module

The Tabun Gas should stun the enemy and the Molotov Cocktails shouldn't really have a timer on it. When I get the flamethrower perk nothing happens I can't upgrade my engineers or they don't spawn with one. The Second Chance seems to never work for me no matter how much I press on my soldiers. If I'm missing something there should be a instrcution manual for the keys. Other than that this mod is great.

yeah what's wrong w/ that?

all ppl can get second chance, but only weapon teams get last stand...so second chance just lets you save ppl in last stand (they come back stronger than ever)

and the point of tabun gas is to lower accuracy...it also lowers line of sight

yeah flamethrower has been acting up...still working on it

as stated earlier, second chance only allows you to save people in last stand...it's only weapons teams who go into last stand

a manual for what keys?

yeah the files are for the loading screen...i think it crashes b/c its trying to load my custom loading screen. it did the same thing with the logo for a while, but when i deleted the other files (all except rgt) it stopped crashing


about spec-prod...im working on it...cant figure it out

spec-prod was a good mod but still, try to merge it into world at war if you can.
It would be nice if you can add the T-34's or make maps simmilar to World at War. I would except my World Builder is not loading the plain terrain.

yeah....i had started some very early stages of a seelow map for this mod in v2.4

but after the patch, worldbuildier FAILED.
so now, cant really get anywhere. i may see if i can use the old comp that still has v2.3 to make the map and then copy it into the mod folder...maybe for next release

I don't mean that the problem is that after it loads, you press new map and then it has a page that says terrain size but there is no terrain after you load. on 2.400 they had invasion of normandy.

i did nothing...but all of a sudden it works...unfortunately, the comp im using is not the best in terms of power, so mapping is just laborious with it...probly wont make a newmap till i go back to other computer

I Use 2.502 and the mod works great. As mentioned above I too have issues with sniper garrison bushes etc. My main issue is with custom maps. I have 'bout 50 in the correct dir and they are uppgraded to work with 2.502,but the mod only recognize one of them...otherwise: great job! Really like the veteran system!!

Great Mod, Really feels like COD : WAW.
Just 2 things:
Why the red bullet paths? It doesn't look good.
Can you fix the speech?
I tried the fix stated here, but it doesn't work.
The sound in campaign videos doesn't work either

ok so ill go through the answers 1 at a time

as for the red bulllets, i just was messingaround w/ editing the data for the first time and i kinda liked how it worked out. if you want to get rid of them simply go to CODWeaponsDatafxtexturestracers and delete the ones you dont want

im not sure what's up w/ maps ill see what i can do

for the map from Spec-Prod, i believe you are talking about Hell's Row?
whatever it is, i will upload most of the spec-prod maps onto filefront sometime soon

no it is not for 1.4

i will work on the speech...still htink it has to do w/ the module

ok so this comment thing gets rid of the slashes (/), so the text i put for the module will cause a crash unless there are slashes in the right places...

the best way to ensure that it works is to open the relicCOH.module and find this section( in there, its [data:english:02] or something like that)...
copy and paste that into your CODweapons.module

hmm... the colorful tracers are nice if there is a Sci - Fi mod or some secret Nazi weapons but still the colors are nice big grin Just noticed it now since .... I didn't patch up.

thanks for the input guys...ill think about adding skins, but it makes the mod so big to download...


to get in game, do this:
copy all the mod files to where it says to (in this case, the main COH foldoer)


go into your coh folder, find RelicCOH.exe, right-click and hit create shortcut.

move the shortcut to like the desktop or someplace u like it...
right-click on the shortcut and hit properties, and then edit it how it says in the readme (see above)

then, just double click on the shortcut to play!
start up a skirmish game and voila...its a mod!

ok its a little hard to explain

if you make a new shortcut and then right-click on it and hit properties, a little window comes up...the first box where you can type stuff is labeled "Target:" and there is some writing in there already (its inside quotes)...all you need to do is add -dev -modd CODWeapons after the quotes.

Looks cool, but I can't get it to work. I extracted to Cstick out tonguerogram FilesTHQCompany of Heroes and added -dev -mod CODWeapons at the end of the shortcut, but for some reason its not working. Any ideas?

i did as instructed in the readme , but when i enter the line into the short cut i get an error saing that such path is invalid , any ideas? i try a few things and doesnt seem to work ............ perhaps i did soemthing wrong ?

If it doesn't apply make sure there is a space after the " then it should work. If it crashes make sure you delete the .ucs files other than relicCOH.english.ucs under Cstick out tonguerogram FilesTHQCompany of HeroesCoHEngineLocaleEnglish

ok for Grebentro the issue is simple...look in your main COH folder...the folder in there right now is probably named something like CODWaWv1 or something...inside there, there should be a CODWeapons folder and a CODWeapoins.module...move those two into your main COH Directory(take them out of the CODWaW folder)


for cute...copyand paste this into your target line
:
"Cstick out tonguerogram FilesTHQCompany of HeroesRelicCOH.exe" -nomovies -mod CODWeapons -dev

and make sure the Start in Line still says this:
"Cstick out tonguerogram FilesTHQCompany of Heroes"

Hey !
I think you did some great work ! But since the latest patch ive got some issues with the AI (No AI-fraction build any builduings wich can produce tanks/heavy weapons).
I use the german version of the game and cant use any CustomMaps.
Ive modified all files that must be I think .
Any ideas about this?

Thanks, but that wasn't the problem. I feel bad bothering you about this (lol). What should CODWeapons.module be opened with? I have it set to notepad, but I don't know. Should the CODWeapons file and the CODWeapons.module file be in the directory or should one be in a separate place? I probably just made a stupid mistake that I can't find.

yeah i noticed that w/ the AI too...not sure about the maps...make sure you have -dev on the shortcut target line...

both the folder and the module should be in the COH directory....ill see about the screenie...

everything in that screenshot is the same on my computer, but I don't have several of the files that you have in that screenshot and my directory is full of .dll's etc. I think that the problem is that I don't have the same files as you.

i dont think the path is any problem...
maybe u are using SGA maps?? ive only tested it w/ SGB's, so maybe SGAs dont work

Dont mind the extra files, most are for other mods...i have all the Dlls as well, they're just not in the screenshot...
the important thing is the CODWeapons.module and the CODWeapons folder...

if you go to your main company of heroes folder, inside it is relicCOH.exe

if you cant find it, try doing this:

find the shortcut you always use to launch COH, and then right-click and say copy
then paste it on your desktop and rename it to CODWaW and then edit it how i said to in the readme....

The direct fire doesn't work on the tanks for me , it works on the soldiers 9 ( the ones that have the ability ) but not on the tanks.I mean the button is there but when i try to use it nothing and by the way I'm using TOV 2.500 and can't patch higher

i crash after winning/losing a skirmish regardless after clicking 'do you want to view the battlefield?' yes/no. i can't say 'exit to main menu' or 'exit to windows' either because it brings up a CoH OF world at war end-game splash screen and it locks my system up. (can't alt-f4 or ctrl-alt-del it is 100% locked) i've used pretty much every mod available for CoH and i can't seem to figure out if anyone else is having the problem.

It should go like this : After you've made a shortcut to the desktop u right-click it and in the "Target" field you will notice something like "CProgram FilesTHQCompany of HeroesRelicCOH.exe" and after the last quotation press "Space" once and add
-mod CODWeapons -dev and the final should look like this
"CProgram FilesTHQCompany of HeroesRelicCOH.exe" -mod CODWeapons -dev
The only diference could be that at the begining of the line it doesn't have to be CProgram Files....... it depends on which drive u installed the game but most important is after the text in the target box u make one letter space and u can copy and paste this line -mod CODWeapons -dev and it should work , if everything else is done properly .

The only difference I saw in the game was every place there was supposed to be words from the login in to in the game is a dollar sign $ followed by six numbers, followed by the words "no range"

make sure you followed the instructions to put the .UCS file in the right location...also, if there are a lot of other UCS files in there aside from RelicCOH.UCS, you should move those out of the folder to some other location when you play the mod

for multiplayer...not sure whats up, just make sure u both have 1.0 and no one has modified any files...

to the end of the target box add -mod CODWeapons...
to vetibear...those upgrades are all in the british version of the supply depot, which i forgot to make buildable in this version...here is an updated version of the mod with some other bug fixes as well as this one

A new version for this mod has been released with a number of bug fixes including the british perks building issue....
Version 1.1 also includes reduced saturation on the modified tracers so it doesnt look as much like a sci-fi film.

1.) Right-click on the game's exe in your game folder and create a shortcut on your desktop.
2.) If you want to play multiple mods, give it a unique name so you can see which shortcut starts a specific mod.
3.) Change the properties in your desktop shortcut.
4.) Start the game up and have a good time smile

Okay, once you created the shortcut on your desktop (I'll asume that worked out) here is what you do.

1. Re-name the shortcut so you recognize it as the mod's specific one.
2. Right-click on it and select "Properties" at the bottom
3. Edit the target line so it looks like this: "...RelicCoH.exe" -dev -mod CODWeapons

(leave the bit in " " unaltered as otherwise the shortcut will not work! Leaving the space before -dev -mod CODWeapons is important.)

Nice to see that people are still downloading the mod!

However, it looks like the updated version never got posted up here, as it still says 1.0
Do i need to do anything to have 1.1 appear on this site, besides resubmitting the entire mod?
