Go Prone Mod - File Description  

Djukel has been by, and has dropped off his latest mod for Company of Heroes that will allow your troops to drop down into the prone position, rather then staying with the status qou, and keeping the target size at a maximum. This mod is extremely useful when your troops get surprised in an open area...

This mod comes defaulted with the "L" key as the key to use for enabling the prone position, and again for resuming the stance position, but any key that you wish to use can be binded.

Go Prone MOD by Djukel

This mod makes available to order units to go prone. It is usefull when enemy suprise you in open area. "L" key is bind for this command. Just select units and Press "L".
You can bind any other key.

How to assign other key to this command?
1. Find Djukel.scar file in Data\Scar folder.
2. Open file and find this line -> Scar_DebugConsoleExecute("bind([[L]], [[Scar_DoString('Util_GoProneSelection()')]])").
3. Change "L" to any other key.
4. Save it.

1. Run as separate mod
Copy all files into your COH directory.
Create a new shortcut to run this mod like
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -nomovies -modname Go_Prone -dev

2. Run with and existing mod
Just copy Data folder into any mod folder

Does going prone change anything? I mean, not just visually, but mechanically?

Whats the benefit?

It is obviuos. More difficult to target your man.

It might seem obvious...but does a targets being prone actually affect the accuracy of the shooter?

So far I did not find any evidecne for it, maybe it was built into the engine. Anyway It would be pathetic if RELIC missed out this feature from the game.

if theres like 50% less of a target the the shooter is lees likely to hit!!!!mad (TheOklahoman)

good job on this mod, ive wanted everyone to crawl to the shingle on d-day.

the game mechanics do not give bonuses for being prone, it is visible difference only.

You forgot to add some people with version 2.500 Of COH (OF and TOV)
need to add -mod INSTEAD OF -modname
