something about the compressed file...anyone else having this problem?
The compressed file seems to be corrupt, it is also almost 7 mb's smaller than when I sent it to file@companyofheroes.com. Here is another link that works:

Kind of mad that they did not put my name as the creator of the map, when I had it in the readme.txt.
I am probably going to fix the issue with tanks crossing the destroyable bridges. the seemed to be bugged later in the mission.

I have fixed the bridges so that the tanks should not get jammed up on the bridges now.

Good map for your first one posted here. I'm glad it's an 8 player too.
There are still a few problems with the bridges.
At standard orientation:
Left bridge of the Rhine (allies up top) infantry fall into the river and get stuck trying to get back up.
Far right bridge of the Rhine (allies up top), tanks seem to get stuck when side by side. Probably because of the "protected sidewalk" edge along the bridge? It also prevents blocking the bridge with tank traps and barbed wires. You just cant cover the entire bridge.
While trying to load map it just about finishes and then freezes.
I checked warning log at this is the last line written numerous times.
Warning: RenderCompositeStrips Addstripsegment : time ==FLT_MAX

Make sure you are also using the latest version of CoH. I believe the latest patch release is 1.7. I'm using 1.61 myself right now.
Nice map - pretty, seems to take hours to play to the end but I don't play 8 player often so it's probably me.
Yes I did but i may have mess it up by over writng the first Rhine with the Rhine fix,
I deleted it ,downloaded it again and reinstalled, works fine now.

Could anyone upload this map on rapidshare, because megaupload doesn't work fine.
quiet a few downloads and no one giving any feedback. Got a nice idea for my next map, but since this is my first, I would like to hear some feedback as to what is good, and what sucks. So I can better create my next one, which I am going to start on very soon.
Sorry for not giving praise earlier... this is a top map Cam51... I'd like to see a larger urban town area but this is one of my all time Favs... good large Maps are few and far between....
No real problems now the bridges have been sorted the AI goes a bit weird sometimes and one directional but I've found that on most maps!

i uninstall coh and reinstalled the game but now it wont let me patch at all it keeps asking for patch 1.0 where can i find this patch.Any help would be appreciated

all the updates, get the 1st one that goes from 100 to 140 and then the 7th one that goes from 140 to 170(latest).
Ah yes when the Allies made their push into nazi germany anyway this is a good map.

Can you make it where this sites "Primary Download Locations" will download the
Updated "fixed" zip map. Please! The third party link (Mega Loader or "ML" does not work for my friend.  I really like this map  but my friend can't download it from "ML". Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! 
I am relatively new too modding....so i would like to know how to make your own maps. Is there a way to download a program or something? You seem to know what your doing, because this is a great map.
Sorry for the 2nd post, but i have a suggestion for a map. A map with to land areas on each side connected by a bridge with lots of resource points would be awesome. The battle would be so bloody because of the amount of troops you could build.
does anyone know how to add music to maps???
epsilon30 to make a map you have to go to world builder witch came with coh and should be in the coh folder and if you want to play a map with a high population limit try operation husky pop count on it is 125 and if you capture points by ur base you can get resources really quick

Thanks for the tip Code5, but i opened up the folder in Thq, company ofheroes, and got to the main page, and am lost as to what the world builder looks like. Is it in a folder or is it on the main page.If its in another file or has a different name, could you please tell me.
Can we get some actual comments about the map please, and not questions that should be asked in the forums.

It sucks be cause the west bridge is impassable by vechicles on the map available for down load in the Primary Download Location.
FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!! so people can play it the way it was meant to be played!

code5 has done us a favour by releasing this map for free. If FileFront havent changed the default download to the patched version that is not his problem. Its not his problem but he still bothered to upload it to MegaUpload, for free. If you can download the file from MegaUpload, then you can upload it to Rapidshare etc for your friend to get from there.
If you dont show gratitude and courtesy when people upload a quality map, then they might not bother giving you a second one. Think about it.
Funny how you are yelling at me to fix it, but there is already a fixed version posted in here. Check the above post for the file called: mp_The_Rhine_FIX.zip
This version has fixed bridges, and allows for the constant passage.
Screaming that I will not listen is pretty rude, seeing as you know nothing about me and this is my first posted map.
I have already created a second 8 player map, which has been sent to coh.filefront a good while ago, but the site hasn't been updated in a long time.
When i tried to install this i went into my dat file in the directory but there is no folder call scenarios if any body else has had this problem or knows how 2 fix it i wud be gr8ful
how do you download from 'megaupload.com', it is writen on the page but nothing happens

i take back what i said about your black forest map beeing the best map ive played,although i immensley enjoyed that map this one was far and above it.
i enjoyed the variety of different battle grounds and terrain from defence of bridges to urban and open country warfare.great detailing though out the map.
there was a lot less choke points,compered with black forest,thats good they tend to slow the game up to much if its an overkill,(AIs not to bright)
overall top map look forard to your next post

wait for count down to finish(under free download)
and put the file were you want

sorry, i still having troublr, mabey its just me. the website seems to accept the code but there is no countdown or alike, it just stays exactly as it was when you first enter the link. anyway thanks for your time and mabey you can correct me.

under the free download -45sec countdown starts.
when thats finished click on free download botton
and put it where you like

Looking forward to this map, and I was happy to see this site finally updated to the fixed version. Like the previous poster, I also have problems with megaupload.
Anyway, there's not enough great 6 or 8 maps out there so I appreciate the time and effort you put into it cam.

The map offers excellent bocage, urban and even open battle combat....

This is my favourite map. You attack at each end of the river, break through and have loads of different roads to spread into from the breach. Defending means you have to try to cover each exit. Once youre through a bit of open country you get to another chokepoint, then into open country once more till you find a defended bridge. It gives the map pace and variety.
The towns are well laid out, look believable and have plenty of scope for ambush and flank attacks.
The AI seems to like the map too. It sets up good positions with MG nests all over the place and rarely wastes its pop cap on units that never see action. Battles appear all over the place so nothing on the map gets wasted.

Playing as ze Germans, I have about 1500 fuel, and I'm short everything else. I like the design, though. Less trees on the shore of the river on both sides would be nice for my Flak 36.
ok i exract it to the file it tells me to (THQ/Company of Heroes/WW2/Data/Scenarios/mp) but it says it doesnt exist???

what i did was i created the scenarios and mp folder myself using the new folder meny and put it inside... It works for me
Seems with the recent update 2.501, all custom maps are void. Anytime I try to run em, the game crashes to desktop. I dunno if this is an error with the map or the launcher, but maybe you could upload a 2.501 version of the map.
I love this map but I am also having the same problem as DarthMaw, it keeps crashing with 2.501. Hopefully it's a small tweak so we can play more of this lovely map with TOV
