Interview with Rev09 by Vinny - CoHFiles Staff
===============

Vinny: We heard you recently stopped working on two of your mods to start a new one with a historian. Whats this new mod going to be about?

Rev09: Well, right now, also have joined a Skinner and another History Researcher. The mod will be Focused on Realism, based on a historical accuracy .Its something like a Project Reality since I'm with 2 Great WW2 Historians.

Vinny: Sounds interesting. So how far are you on this new mod, and why have you stopped with the other two? Also, whats the name?

Rev09: The name is Offensive Operations .Well I've been working on New "Living Soldiers" System, and Realism System. But I decided not to Release them since This Historian (Danyel Phelps) gave me his Great Gameplay Idea. I decided to mix one of my Realistic Systems polished by him. Also, we've just released the Up-coming Mod thread in the relic Forums. And, a New Website! http://operations.fiffa.net/

Vinny: Are you planning on having custom maps for this mod, and if so are you getting a mapper or offering to sponsor third party maps?

Rev09: Yes we hope we include Custom Mod Maps, with an adequate Mapper. We can accept Mappers on Our teams by now, sure. But, its not a High Priority.

Vinny: Awesome! Seems your mod is on the right track. When do you think V1 will be released?

Rev09: It must be understood that we're trying to make a quality product instead of a rushed mod with hardly any content. We're aiming for anywhere from three weeks to a month. Maybe longer, but probably not.

Vinny: Thats not far off. I'm sure many are looking forward to it, including me! Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. We hope you have a good day.

Rev09:
Thank you too. We hope you get into our forums and feel free to post Suggestions and Opinions.

Interview with Kyran by Vinny - CoHFiles Staff
===============

Vinny: What are you planning for Kmod: nations at war?

Kyran: WHEN the model importer is finally released, we can include our newly done Jagdtpanther model as well as many new units for both United States and Germany. We (KMOD Dev team, comprising of Myself, Fiffa, Lord Beowulf, and Nsysusoloman) hope to make whole new Nations, and thus make it REALLY "nations at war" by including the Japanese, British, Australians, Canadians, Italians, Austrians.. Either as supporting armies or as separate tech trees with unique units and vehicles, using new models and skins. Currently for KMOD, we are just fine tuning the balance, which is currently aiming at making the Allies more powerful.

Vinny: Sounds like you got a plan. Have you started work on models for the new nations?

Kyran: not as yet, no. We are going to correct the current models and fill out the Germans/US teams first, with new equipment (mainly vehicles), as they will be the basis for the other armies.

Vinny: What about balance. Are your future releases going to go for very realistic or mid way between realistic and fun?

Kyran:
KMOD: Nations at War's main agenda is to find an acceptable point between historical realism/accuracy and fun. KMOD will eventually encompass the time frame from about 1940-1945, and will include many units from those time frames. I personally think that if you want 100% historical and combat realism, then you should find another game - Company of Heroes was not intended for either of those.

Vinny: What about your maps? We have heard fiffa is the mapper, but what is he currently trying to make?

Kyran: Well, even though Fiffa is listed as a mapper, he gave up mapping at least 1 month ago. I think he just couldn't be bothered.. hehe. He has become the all-round public relations guy, as well as the "treasurer" who looks after the KMOD team funds, for website/hamachi/ventrilo/FTP server costs. I would like him to do mapping, but i'm sure there are plenty of other mappers out there.

Vinny: So are you currently looking for a new official mapper, or are you looking for maps made to sponsor them in KMOD?

Kyran: Well, either way suits me. It would be preferable if a 3rd party made maps for KMOD, as we do not want to expand the team too far. It is more efficient with less people in the team, and if it comes down to it, even -i- can do some maps. If anyone wishes to make maps for KMOD: Nations at war, make them big, and crazy! KMOD needs big maps.

Vinny:
Ok, sounds good. Thanks for giving us some time to ask questions! Have a good day.

Kyran: You too, vinny!

That was Kyranzor's interview! Here is his website, http://www.kmod.org/

Hope that informed some mappers and others about these mods. Visit the websites and check them out!
