He who controls the hill will be able to rain fire down on his enemies, and resist all efforts to dig him out of his positions. You can expect plenty of tank battles, and infantry will be of limited utility. There'll be plenty of carnage, especially in the late game. Whoever reaches the more powerful vehicles first, and then takes the initiative, will do better here. Sure, there's some pre-built defenses, but they're too few and far between

http://companyofheroes.filefront.com/file/Twin_Hills_R64;111229 Mon, 1 Mar 2010 13:42:58 PST Fortress Groningen (RC1) [Company of Heroes Company Of Heroes] Back in the old days of powder and shot, star forts were built to provide firing positions to keep enemy soldiers away from the fort. There are four bridges, two for tanks and two for infantry, which lead into the fort. In the original description he submitted with this he stated my main issue with this map pretty well, it simply has way too little detail for my taste. However, for a first time map I have to say you did a nice job on this one and it does not have any flaws where it really matters - in the gameplay. This is a fun and worthy addition to every CoH map collection and definately recommended. Given the fact it's taken place somewhere near the Normandy that's a very fitting name as it sure was a hard landing for the allied soldiers.
Considering the map doesn't look like a beginner's product at all, the author states he wants to update and add to it, therefor he is requesting constructive critism in comments and mail. Please make sure you leave a reply.

~Pille

http://companyofheroes.filefront.com/file/Hard_landing_10;110969 Mon, 22 Feb 2010 08:54:22 PST Dead mans hill [Company of Heroes Media] Quote:This is a picture i took well playing Company of heros. I love the smell of the tulips on the breeze, the gentle whoosh of the windmills in the distance, the rumble of... artillery fire?

This map represents a small farming village somewhere in Holland, surrounded on one side by irrigated fields and on the other by a small forest. This map is nicely done, with good texture and object placement, but there's still something missing...

Oh yeah: The edges of the map! This map, like many, lacks a b

http://companyofheroes.filefront.com/file/Blood_Village_Holland;110805 Thu, 18 Feb 2010 15:39:52 PST The Valley Below 4p (1.0) [Company of Heroes Tales Of Valor] This map certainly isn't bad at all, and a valiant effort for a second map. There's still a couple things missing, though... It'll make for an interesting battle nonetheless, for the first player to advance past the river will most likely win. But the river will be home to some fierce fighting, that can be guaranteed.

First, there's still large blank areas with the same texture plastered on with nothing but a few trees to break it up. Try varying the texture a little in those areas, even if i

http://companyofheroes.filefront.com/file/The_Valley_Below_4p;110633 Mon, 15 Feb 2010 05:35:09 PST Graveyard Hill (1.0) [Company of Heroes Tales Of Valor] Ooooh, spooky. The only thing missing from this map is Frankenstein's monster. We don't see many fantasy maps in this neck of the woods, and it's always nice to get something that deviates from the norm a little. Tombstones, castle ruins, searchlights, spooky lighting... What more could you ask?

A couple of things, actually. First, the textures. It's blindingly obvious that the texture is tiled over and over and over again, ad nauseam. Plus, if you really want to complete the graveyard feel,

http://companyofheroes.filefront.com/file/Graveyard_Hill;110475 Wed, 10 Feb 2010 14:26:52 PST
